The problem is with the SA vendors.

For years I have been saying that all vendors should have stock of a comprehensive collection of deck screws and o-rings.
This should also include parts such as 510s.
I have given the costs before. For the cost of a mod, they could have all the stock we need.
It is clearly done to prevent people from repairing their own attys and mods.
Their attitude is clearly that, if I stock a R30 510 connector I lose the sale of a new mod. If I stock a 25c screw I lose the sale of a R600 RTA.

Don't get me started on some of the SA Vendors ... I have a bottom drawer filled with useless "stuff" after listening to the advice of some of these so called experts advice as I embarked on my vape journey. I'm sad to say that the objective of a large majority of same is turnover, not industry support ... the good news is that this forum exists, making the sharing of information possible, and maybe the next step is as simple as a few group buys on the less common items?

Pretty exited right now Mr. @Faiyaz Cheulkar is sending me two mods to try and harvest 510's from. Might have to do a little modification and sharpen up my soldering skills in tight spaces, but it's something to look forward to. Here's to hoping I can get the project back on track

Alas, one of the 510's I received isn't spring-loaded, so that won't work and it also has no lip and is only press fitted into the old mod and it's diameter is too small to press-fit it into the Hohm Slice. The other one is spring-loaded, but the diameter is also too small for the opening in the Hohm Slice and has no way of tightening so also press fitted in the old mod. Will have more of a look see after the weekend, but I'm not very hopeful..... I have another option but that I'll have to get some advice from @Intuthu Kagesi at the vape meet. If that pans out I could possible have an idea on how to get 3 identical 510's in all three mods. This is turning into a very longterm project it seems.

No prob Bud ... we'll find a solution ... Please bring all the pieces of the broken 510 connector along to the meet ... I want to see if I can make a replacement housing / shell for it, (that was my "last resort" suggestion as you may recall), and by the looks of it ... we may be there
Mind you ... toss the casing and the other "spare?" 510's you have into a bag, and bring them along too, we may be able to make a plan with them

Success is what follows that final push ... you're so close ... don't quit now!
and ... does it really matter if one of your mods has a different 510? ... keep it one side as a backup mod if you feel that strongly about it

Exactly what I need right now, and I see locally they are sold out again at Ecig Inn. Their prices aren't really cheap on that site. Might just have to twist someone's arm to ask Brian to bring in a couple for me and not have to wait and deal with SAPO....Hint hint
